MOLOIL® WIN is an organic compound with the chemical formula C8H8O3, commonly known as Methyl Salicylate or Winter green oil. It is used in pharmaceutical formulations for its counterirritant effect which causes a sensation on the skin, such as warmth or coolness, which helps to distract the brain from the deeper, underlying pain in the muscles and joints.

It is used in topical creams and liniments for muscle and joint pain, and as a flavoring agent in some oral medicines and products like toothpaste and mouthwash.
